Wow, can you believe it’s the end of 2015 already? WE MADE IT! This is one of the first years in my life that really felt as if it went by quickly. (I think it’s partially due to meeting and growing together with my blog partner who helps me keep the gears of this lil machine turning LOL.) This year has been far from perfect. I’ve had setbacks. I’ve had plot twists. I’ve changed paths and entered new lanes. Old relationships fizzled out and new ones blossomed.
I’ve had various blogs in the past but I’ve never been as serious about blogging as I am now and I really owe a HUGE thank you to you guys for keeping me focused over these past three months. You may not know this but when you guys come by regularly, hit the like button on my posts, start following me, or leave a comment, it inspires me to keep going. I don’t wanna get mushy but you guys really have touched me. All of you. From Canada to Costa Rica. South Africa to Spain. Thailand to Trinidad & Tobago.
Growing up, did you ever pretend to be Posh Spice? Are clean lines and classic shapes your preferred speed? Do you consider yourself a minimalist? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions then this look is for you.
I hope you guys liked Part 1 of my holiday series chronicalling some of my favorite seasonal looks and where to get them. If you missed the first installment, check it out here…
Do you love to be the center of attention? Does the phrase “Grown & Sexy” appear in your lexicon? Do you have a Sasha Fierce-esque alter ego? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions then this look is for you.
This time of year can be so crazy! Holiday parties at work and family festivities galore. This is the season for socializing and we all wanna look our best but the last thing anyone wants is to be stuck in the mall looking for a cute outfit among herds of other shoppers. Don’t worry, boo. I got you. I’ve put together a four part series to help you slay the holidays. The best part about it is you can get each look from just one store so you can get in, get out, and get back to what matters…
Do you have an outgoing, energetic personality? Have you ever danced on a tabletop? Does your hotline stay blinging? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions then this look is for you.
“In the real world, Halloween is when kids dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything else about it” — Cady Heron, Mean Girls
Yesterday was Day 1 of the Spring/Summer 2016 season of Toronto Fashion Week (also known as World MasterCard Fashion Week) and I was happy to kick it off by seeing two of the runway shows that night, Matthew Gallagher and Sid Neigum. Both are highly praised as the next emerging voices in Canadian fashion with Gallagher’s aesthetic being soft, sweet, and feminine while Neigum’s is dark, powerful, and architectural.
Every year around this time Toronto hosts many big-name celebs and rising stars alike for the annual Toronto International Film Festival. Many movies make their premieres with there being over 300 screenings from more than 60 countries. Outside of the box office, the city is full of star-studded, red carpet events. This year TIFF is running from September 10th – 20th. While I don’t think I’ll be catching a movie this year, I did have the chance to attend one of the hottest, most talked-about parties of the season.
I had the pleasure of test-driving three party dresses by emerging UK label Three Floor. Here’s how I found they each stacked up, from the one that made me feel like I was on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress to the one that just couldn’t make the grade. Get ready for exposed zippers, pleats, mesh, and more cut-outs than one could ever dream to ask for.
