An eternity ago, when I was in high school, I was a punk. More like a punk/goth/anime kid. And one of the staples of my wardrobe were band tees. A friend gave me a The Starting Line tee, I picked up a My Chemical Romance tee from Hot Topic, and a few of my comrades wore this popular tee to showcase their love for The Used. The guy I crushed on had long hair down his back and one of the four shirts he wore was a Led Zeppelin tee.
Somewhere along the line I retired my music merch but more and more in the past few years I’m starting to see it make a comeback in fashion and I’m more than happy to take part.
Denim is a wardrobe staple, there’s no denying that. Whether as jeans or a jacket, intact or distressed, it’s an iconic textile that the fashion world will continue to reinvent. Who would know that better than Kealan Sullivan of 69 Vintage? An avid collector and enthusiast, Sullivan’s collections spans decades. It’s no surprise that she chose denim as a medium for expression in her runway collection entitled “Wild Child” which debuted at Fashion Art Toronto last year.
In part one of my interview we discussed her fashion background, the success of her long-running vintage store, her passion for human connections, and her journey to finding confidence. Now in part two we’ll discuss her designs, her inspirations, and what’s next for the self-described “OG wild child”.
Summer’s not over just yet! At least not over here. As the days have been getting cooler and shorter I’ve been feeling myself getting nostalgic for the summer that just slipped away. What better time than now to put out my series of shots in a throwback Wrangler two piece set? It’s 90’s feel good vibes to relive summer ’16 one more time…

It’s been raining for about two days straight here in Toronto. The wind is getting cooler and I wore my Timbs for the first time since winter yesterday. Everyone around me is getting that requisite cold you get when the seasons start changing. It’s safe to say summer has breathed its last breath and fall is here. Realizing that cold temperatures are coming saddens me a bit as I love the warmer months and winters here are so brutal so I thought now would be the perfect time to daydream a little and post my last summer-themed outfit set.
