Slaying in Beyonce’s 2016 Grammys Gown

It’s not often I get to adorn my body with the same threads that once adorned Beyonce‘s. So when the opportunity presented itself to try on the same dress that Queen Bey wore to this year’s Grammy Awards, best believe I snatched it up. Keep reading to find out more about Yonce’s Grammy style and check out more views of this gorgeous gown. #SLAY

Red Carpet Bridal Style

While most celebrities opt for eveningwear or ready-to-wear for their red carpet moment, this year Beyonce went with something a little different. To many people’s surprise, she chose a style by Israeli bridal designer Inbal Dror.

Known for sexy, beautiful designs, Inbal Dror is a haute couture label many brides-to-be choose for their special day. In Beyonce’s case, it was their 2016 “New York” collection that caught her eye for Grammy night. Inbal’s web site describes the collection as “ranging from regal Bridal gowns to sultry eveningwear” with “glamour and decadence [in] each piece” through the use of fine silks, tulle, and matte sequins.

Beyonce’s Choice

The exact style Beyonce chose goes by the name BR 16-10. It is a backless, body-hugging design with a crochet texture and tulle skirt. Fun details include the button up collar and two thigh high slits to show off the wearer’s legs.

The interesting thing about Beyonce’s choice in Grammy fashion is that it is also linked to her costumes for her Formation World Tour. Bey must really be a fan of Inbal’s work as she enlisted the designer to make several special, custom pieces for the wardrobe on her current tour.

Wearing this dress made me feel like so chic and luxurious. It creates a beautiful shape and is sexy without being too revealing. While I played slayed around in it for a good twenty minutes, it still didn’t feel long enough. I’m already looking forward to my next great fashion moment.

Love,

Mirian
